The project explores the notions of domesticity, craft, and construction within a modern day detached house. A palette of bucolic materials expands the agricultural history of the existing building whilst a new core and spine walls are inserted into the old shell to fundamentally reorganize the spatial narrative. The new narrative links the sky to the garden dynamically through the house whilst interweaving exposed timber, brick and concrete structure.
